"Is my house going to flood?" - If you have ever asked that, then you are not alone. Flooding is an issue that is hard to predict, but one where you CAN lower your risk. Especially when you are buying a home, you should do some research beforehand. Here are some simple things you can do to help protect yourself and your investment:

1. Talk with neighbors around your potential home. See if any of them have had issues in the past.
