![]() Home inspections are an obviously important part of the home buying process. If you were to ask someone to skip their home inspection, they would likely look at you funny and say "never in a million years". But knowing that the home inspection is important, and putting the effort it needs into it are two different things. For instance, I have clients that will spend weeks sometimes shopping for the best interest rate to get it down by 0.25%. On the average home, that saves you about $25 per month on a 30 year fixed - about $9,000! But the cost of a missed roof defect, foundation issue, or other problem can be FAR more costly than that! I say this because many people hire a home inspector with less effort than they put into finding a good interest rate. That being said, make sure you hire a good, thorough home inspector. Make sure you research him and get the best home inspection possible. Home Inspections - Home Inspector in Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Courtice, Bowmanville, Newcastle, and Port Perry
